You Belong at the International Refugee and Migration Health Conference—Let’s Make It Happen!
We are committed to ensuring that health professionals, especially those with lived experiences of forced displacement, have the opportunity to participate in the International Refugee and Migration Health Conference. This year, we are offering scholarships that cover the registration fee for a limited number of eligible applicants. * Please note that travel, lodging, and food expenses are not included.
Who Are the Scholarships For?
Our scholarships are designed for individuals who meet two criteria:
Interested?
Previously Resettled as Refugees
For those currently residing in North America, who were either resettled as refugees or have other lived experiences of forced displacement and resettlement.
Health Professionals or Students
For those who are currently working, studying, or training in the health field. This includes clinical health, or health services such as intensive case management, health promotion, community health workers and more.
If you belong to this group, you’re in the right place. Below, you’ll find more details about the specific scholarship available, the application process, and how to apply.

Application
Complete the scholarship application, which takes approximately 5 minutes.
First Come, First Served
Scholarships are awarded in the order applications are received, provided applicants meet the eligibility criteria.
Waitlist
A waitlist is maintained for those who may not initially receive a scholarship. If a recipient’s plans change, the scholarship will be offered to the next person on the list.
Proof of Travel
To officially receive the scholarship and be registered for the conference, recipients must submit proof of travel by April 1, 2026.
Professionals Previously Resettled As Refugees
If you were previously resettled as a refugee in North America and are currently working, studying, or training in the healthcare field, we encourage you to apply for our scholarship program.
Thanks to generous donations from past conference attendees, we can offer free registration to a limited number of applicants.
Scholarship Availability
- The number of scholarships awarded is dependent on the funds donated. Scholarships are awarded on a first come, first served basis.
- Scholarships are awarded in the order that applications are received. We do not delay in making awards; as soon as the appropriate amount is collected, the next applicant is notified.
- Awards may be given up until the start of the conference, depending on the timing of donations and applications. If a recipient cannot attend, the scholarship will be offered to the next eligible applicant on the waitlist.
