Membership
Membership is open to nurses, nurse practitioners, nursing students, and allied health professionals committed to refugee health who often work with nurses, including those working in clinical, academic, policy, and advocacy roles (e.g. community health workers and similar roles that do not currently have a formal professional alignment)
Roles & Responsibilities
The goals of the Refugee, Immigrant, and Migrant Health Nursing Committee include:
- Disseminate best and promising practices in the management of RIM population health.
- Promote the integration of refugee health into nursing education and professional development.
- Provide peer support for nurses transitioning into refugee health roles.
- Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration to optimize RIM patient outcomes.
- Facilitate networking opportunities for nurses engaged in RIM health.
